When we first started hearing about the Pso-Rite a few years ago, we were skeptical to say the least. I mean how can something so seemingly simple offer so many reported health benefits.

But let’s back up – what does the Pso-Rite actually do?
To explain that we’ll have to start with the psoas complex. This chain of muscles that follows the inside of both sides of our pelvis is commonly referred to as the hip flexor. But what most people don’t know is that the psoas plays a much larger role than just assisting in hip mobility.
The psoas complex plays a part in our fight or flight response, supports our digestive organs, helps to regulate our breathing, and aids in pumping blood and lymph through our body.
Unfortunately for us, it’s extremely common for adults to have a tight and shortened psoas complex due to the fact that we’re in a sitting position (aka couch or office chair or car) for most of our days. This get’s exacerbated through strength training, which can tighten the muscles even further.
And more unfortunate is that the psoas is tough to massage and stretch on your own.
Enter the Pso-Rite.
Designed to be the shape of a therapists hand with the hardness of an elbow, this seemingly simple piece of molded plastic allows you to provide direct pressure to the psoas area by laying on the device and rocking side to side (what they call “smashing and flossing”), allowing you to put your weight on one “peak” of the device at a time.
